So just recently I turned 46. I am another year older. I have been getting the gears and told this is why I am hurt. My age has nothing to do with my injury, it could have happened to anyone using the wrong technique. Just like last week I adapted my exercises to deal with my left shoulder strain and it had a very small impact on the exercises. The only exercises impacted were the pull-ups/chin-ups. All others I did without any shoulder pain, so I was able to progress like nothing happened. Now I understand how to change things, if you are in the same boat, you need to get help. DO NOT ask your friends....they do not really know (although they all seem to be medical experts when they are not). See me or one of my colleagues, by calling 780-458-8505 to book in. By the end of the week my shoulder was feeling much better. I think I may try some regular chin ups/pull ups next week and see if I am ready to return to normal.
