Recipe Courtesy of Meghan Kiss, MScPT: Cacao Banana Oats

1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 banana, mashed
1 tbsp raw cacao powder (I use Giddy YoYo )
1 tsp raw maca powder (optional - I use Giddy YoYo)
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp coconut flakes
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1-2 tbsp almond butter (or other nut butter)

Cook oats according to the instructions (I tend to mix 1 cup water and oats in microwave safe bowl and cook on high for about 3 minutes until oats are tender and water is absorbed). Then mix in the mashed banana, cacao and maca powder with the oats until well combined. Top with strawberries, chia seeds, coconut flakes and a generous dollop of almond or nut butter. Makes 1 serving.
