Covid-19 Update May 1, 2020

May 01, 2020

First off, thank you to our wonderful patients for your continued support and understanding during this time. We appreciate how responsive you have been as we navigate the Covid-19 reality. Thank you to our team for adjusting your schedules, offering virtual care to your patients, and urgent care services; and thank you to our staff for all of your assistance and support over the last few weeks.

With the recent update from Premier Kenney, we are excited to be welcoming back our team and patients to each of our clinic locations. The health and wellbeing of our patients have always been paramount to our team and we are looking forward to being able to continue in clinic care under the guidelines of our regulating body.

We will be continuing our strict health and safety measures in the clinic – we have and will be adding additional plexiglass screens for all receptionists at our clinics. For all new assessments, forms will be sent virtually, therefore limiting the contact with reception once on site. We are screening patients before they attend their session, over the phone and in person; and ensuring everyone is washing their hands before and after their visit. Each location is following very strict cleaning policies and following your appointment, all sites and equipment used is immediately sterilized.  Our staff will be wearing masks and gloves while on-site. We will have masks available for all patients but you are welcome to use your own when you arrive. Waiting rooms have been distanced according to Alberta Health guidelines and our sites have recently been inspected to ensure all standards are being met.

For those patients that are staying home due to quarantine or other measures, we are still offering virtual care services with the Physiotherapists. The sessions will remain the same, using a secure system to access with only you and your Physiotherapist in attendance.

For those attending in person, please follow the following Covid-19 pre-screening:

  • You have been or suspect you have been exposed to Covid-19
  • You have returned from travel outside of Canada after April 10, 2020
  • You or anyone in your immediate family/residence is ill (including sore throat, cold or allergies
  • You are immuno-suppressed

At this time, registered massage therapy is still a goal for the province to reach as we follow the direction from the Chief Medical Officer of Health in Alberta. With each of us following the guidelines set, we are working towards offering registered massage therapy in our clinics as soon as the regulatory bodies approve it. We are watching the messages closely and will update you as soon as it is confirmed.

Thank you for your continued support and know that we are here for you each step of the way – whether it be through virtual care, or in clinic, and are grateful to each of you for your support as we navigate this ever-changing time together.

Sincerely,
James Dean
